Pray and Obey and Trust
Easier said than done I shared with my friend Patricia. Friday evening I was planning on going to Patricia's new place with her mom. We were going to have supper and make an evening of it. Friday's we normally meet to do our Ladies Life Group. I didn't feel good about going. What's wrong with me? It was going to be fun. That morning, Patricia's mom calls and says she'll be by to pick me up at 5:30. I laid it on the table. I can't go, I told her. There is no reason why other than I know I'm not suppose to go. I tried to shake the feeling and I could easily ignore it. She encouraged me to obey and feel good about doing the right thing.
I sent a text to Patricia and explained. I felt like I was disappointing them and I didn't even have a tangible excuse for not going that evening.
Later I thought I'd better find out why I shouldn't be going tonight (a selfish thought I'll admit and dangerous I'll later find out). So that evening after supper mom and I were folding the mountains of laundry that lay all over my living room floor. She was sitting on the coffee table facing the tv. I heard a sound of shock and I looked up. She had fallen backwards onto the couch (thankfully). We quickly helped her up and checked her over. We got a chair with a back and arms for her to sit in. I wanted to know if she was able to walk, she couldn't move her right foot. We called the ambulance and I went with her to get checked out. She's home and recovering now. They said that there was no sign of a stroke from this.
God speaks to us through his Word, through the Holy Spirit (who He places in our hearts when we accept him as Lord), and through others.
Pray and obey and trust.
Hoping that you are challenged to listen to His Voice and follow His lead. He want's what's best for you.
Blessings as you obey today.
Alanne.
