Magic Formula?

Have you had some time to think and pray up on my question a couple posts back?

Is there a magic formula for life? Well it's really hard for me to think that there isn't.

To show a bit of my ignorance I thought if I was all good life should be like Disneyland everyday. I'm now learning that it's not.

Life happens. Good things happen to good people. Good things happen to bad people. Bad things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Have I covered it all? :)

I don't have a magic formula, but there are definately some things that can help. You know, enough rest, balanced diet, exercise, good, positive friendships, a proper relationship with God. So if we do all that life will be grand right? Well not exactly. You know those neighbors of yours that sin and screw up? Yah well all that sin affects you. The person who cuts you off while you are drivng along the road minding your own business? Yah well, that also affects you. So I guess where I'm going with this is that as long as there is sin in the world and the prince of the power of the air roams about, guess what? Disneyland is a destination not a journey! (Plus must I add "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way;.."- that sinner bit? Yah that's us too. It's ok my mom says she's going to lay into Eve when she gets to heaven.)
Ok so I've been pretty light on the subject but I hope you hear my heart. God is soverign, period. We are dust (refer to previous post titled -Reminder). And he is worthy of all our praise

2 Samuel 22:4I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
1 Chronicles 16:25For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
Psalm 18:3I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.
Psalm 48:1[ A song. A psalm of the Sons of Korah. ] Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
Psalm 96:4For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
Psalm 145:3Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
Revelation 5:12In a loud voice they sang: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

Focus on what we can be thankful for. Remember this verse as you go about your day today.

Luke 12:4"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. 6Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. 7Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Wow that's something!

Pondering with you today.

Alanne.
