24/7 Magic Formula?
Recently I have been reminding my kids that they have a counselor, comfortor and friend with them 24/7. They just need to tap in.
Is this a magic formula? Well depending on how you define that. It definately is living the ultimate life.
Do you sometimes call someone to ask their advice? Do you look at some people who live to the fullest and wish that was you?
I have to say I say yes to both questions. If you had a private counselor available 24/7 to show you exactly what you needed for that moment would you like that? If you could do what you could to meet that desire to live to the fullest would you tap in?
Here we go.
Here's the formula,
Isaiah 53:6 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way;
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Hebrews 10:11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. 14because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. 17"Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
Luke 12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has the power to throw you into hell. 7Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
John 14: 2In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going."11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. 12I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
1 Peter 3:15But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.
When you have accepted his gift of salvation and made Jesus Lord of your life "there's more!" You get the deposit of the Holy Spirit. Then "there's more" if you tap in. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you. Ask God to baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Is this a weird freaky thing? Well the question is are you weird and freaky. :) That sounds like I'm joking but I'm not. God made you. God made you in his image. What will the Baptism of the Holy Spirit look like in your life? What do you look like. What would your life unrestricted look like? It might be soft and sweet, it might be loud and dangerous. :)
I'm interested to hear if you've just invited Christ to be Lord of your life or if you've asked the Holy Spirit to fill you.
