Save Me!

I listened to an interview on TV with Eugene Peterson. He is an author and the man who translated the Bible to The Message version.

In his interview, he explained what the word saved means in Hebrew. "It means space. Give us space. Salvation is a prairie, all the fences are down, all the doors are opened. Salvation is entering into largeness, God's largeness. I love that word."

I am thankful for our home. It has and is serving us well. We are however outgrowing it rapidly. It's as though we're going to bust at the seems.

When I heard the word saved explained, it really brought new light to my spirit.

God doesn't want us to be cramped. He wants us to be saved to have lots of space. So does that mean I'm going to get a mansion tomorrow? Probably not. Will God give us a bigger home? Perhaps.

This is how my prayer is going now. Lord thank you for your salvation. You are awesome and amazing. Lord I ask that you would provide space for our family. If we are to remain here I ask that you give me creative ways and what we need to create the space that works. If you are preparing a home for us we ask for the perfect space for our family. Lord you have called me for this season to work at home, do home business work and to minister to those who I come in contact with. I am thankful. I ask that you would help me create the perfect space to nurture and grow my family, the perfect space to take care of my mom, the perfect space to have healthy, happy boundaries in our home. Lord, God of creation I ask for more space. More of you. Lord as your word says, I am calling on you.

Acts 2:21 (New American Standard Bible)
21'AND IT SHALL BE THAT (A)EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'

Thank you Lord,

Blessings,

Alanne.
