Seeds Part 2
I was flipping through my journal, as I really ought to do more, cause I was really feeling kind of bummed. I thought I really need to read some good stuff to encourage my heart.
I flipped to some notes I had written on seeds!
If you are just joining us we are comparing lives of people to seeds.
It's short but good. Here goes,
Seeds grow best in crap!
Fruit trees are fertilized with crap.
Maybe you have heard the quote by Nancy Regan, "Women are like teabags, only in hotwater do we know how strong she is."
Here's another way of looking at it. It's from a great version of the Bible that's easy to understand called the Message.
It's near the end of the Bible in the book of James Chapter 1, verse 3-4. It says, "You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way."
So then if we are still having trouble cause dealing with the "stuff" that life throws our way is hard there is help. Let's read on....
Verse 5-7 "If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get his help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought."
I'd say that's some great simple instructions. Yah!
I'll leave you with this. I thought this would be a good check for all of us. This is taken from a job posting but I am relating it to everyday life.
Personal Qualities:
• Growing relationship with God and interpersonal relationships
• Excellent work habits and positive attitude
• Energetic lifelong learner enjoying personal development in diverse areas
• Outstanding relational and supervisory skills; ability to motivate people individually and
as part of a team

(If you are wondering about supervisory skills remember the go and make disciples? We need to supervise the muliplication of ourselves as we try to model Christ's example)
Do you possess these qualities? If not I challenge you to find out why not. And to move towards gaining these qualities.
Blessings as you grow!
Alanne.
