Time With Your Creator - Revised
Here is a revised outline of what I and my boys do in the mornings. It will likely continue to change.
Again, this is just an outline.
1. Prep Your Heart
A. Set Him as Number One - as King and Praise Him
B. Forgive others and ask Him to forgive you
C. Ask Him to speak to you on behalf of yourself and others
2. Ready your Heart
A. Ask to be filled with His Spirit
B. Put on the Spiritual Armor
C. Break off anything that is not of Him in the name of Jesus
3. Action
A. Read the Bible - a few verses to a chapter or more
B. Write down the date, scripture, what impacted you, your response and what you need to do in response.
C. Write down things people say that line up with Scripture and impact your life.
I don’t have my kids write everyday but when I do I get them to write the scripture and what impacted them. Sometimes we write “nothing” or “I didn’t get anything”. If that is the case many times it's for later or He honors us just for being in the Word. I also keep a Prayer Journal with a section for Blessings/Cool Things God Did and the kids and I brainstorm and write in there once in a while.
Hoping to help your run.
