Eat What is Good
Isaiah 55
1"Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.
I find it interesting that the Bible says "eat what is good". Like Pastor Glen said no one can really know all the meanings of everything unless they asked the person writing the God breathed Words of this book. But I will take it as it is. Eat what is good.

I'd have to say according to these definitions it probably wouldn't promote just good tasting food. (bummer!)
In the book Captivating it talks about filling that void feeling with shopping or cleaning or working out or.... you fill in the blank. Often many in North America turn to food as a void filler.
Also interesting is that the Bible talks about eating what is good. Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Why would the Bible even talk about that topic. Cause I need it for today. For right now. To depend on him. To eat what is good and to taste him. The only true satisfaction for our souls.
Do you have a void filler?
